Why Goddess Sita being an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi suffered

Goddess Sita though being Goddess lived life of a normal woman & acted like a normal woman. Just like other women she got emotional & wasn’t able to think analytically or use logic at times. Some mistakes she did were

1. She once told Lord Ram that “O Rama! You will go to Ayodhya & will marry several ladies since you are the king. But I will die here in your memory” Thus she committed something wrong by devaluing Lord Ram’s love for her & also doubted Lord Ram’s faith as Lord Ram had sworn to never  take any other woman as His wife. Lord Ram was always most faithful to Goddess Sita. Yet Goddess Sita raised doubts on Lord Ram’s love.

2. In an incident demon Mareecha cried for help imitating Rama’s voice. Goddess Sita thought that Lord Ram was in danger and asked Lakshaman to go & help. Lakshman was aware that it was a trick of Mareecha & refused to go. He insisted on staying by Goddess Sita, as he ordered by Rama to protect Goddess Sita.

Goddess Sita wasn’t able to think analytically & got emotional & her emotions overpowered her analytical mind & thus she scolded Lakshman as a characterless person, who was attracted to her. Thus she abused Lakshman who was a very pure person & considered his brother Lord Ram as GOD.

Thus Goddess Sita had to suffer being in captive of Ravana & this washed her wrong sayings & she was able to reach Vaikuntha without having to go to hell to clean her sins. Goddess Sita was incarnation of Maha Lakshmi & so it wouldn’t have looked proper had she gone to hell for punishment that she deserved for her statements.

Not being a friend

It’s not unusual for people to start considering other’s as their brother or sisters or close friend. It’s not bad when done without any ulterior motive however many do it to get their work done or to feel secured or to depend or rely on others perhaps as our society has become so fast paced.

My parents wanted to behave like a friend to me however I never liked their idea & wanted them to behave like my parents. I felt that parents must behave like parents & as it often created a void in me. In my opinion when parents behave like friends at times children take them for granted & parents also overlook their responsibilities of being the most caring & protective person.

I’ve worked as a Druggist, translator, Psychologist, Accountant & these professions made me interact with many & thus many were quick to make me a part of their family or a brother or close friend. However I never liked this practise as when I’ve maintained distance it has made me obliged to not take anybody for granted or ask for help or disturb or distract others for my benefits.

I’ve practised lay Psychoanalysis & in it I had learnt to have a mother infant relationship with clients & even before practising it or learning Psychoanalysis I used to have a feeling to treat others like GOD. This transition in me began when my parents started behaving like my friends & to make them behave like my parents I used to give them utmost respect & treat like GOD to me. I try my best to come across others as good person or the best person they’ve met in terms of humbleness, kindness, politeness, respectfulness & this I was able to do as I never considered them my brother or sister or a friend. I’m able to give them more respect as I consider them as meeting them for the first time. When we make others our relatives or close friends then many times we get judgemental about them. I believe that by not befriending others one can give others more respect & maintain relationships healthier as one won’t judge others or think wrong or immoral about them & won’t also have unrealistic expectations from them.

Waiting for tonight – Jennifer Lopez

16 years ago Jennifer Lopez sung & shot the video song “Waiting for tonight” – The song got released in November 1999. The song was specially designed for Y2K or year 2000 as believed to be a new beginning as on calendar we all were supposed to stop using 19…

The song still continues to be a big hit in discos & gets played in many countries on the night of 31st December.

I wonder Jennifer Lopez had sung “when I would be there in your arms” instead of “when you would be here in my arms” being a woman. :)

Even I’ve loved this song especially the sound of trumpet played in the middle & in the end are indeed mesmerising.

Gemstones

Many times Astrologers, Palmists, Psychic healers, Tarot Card readers, etc. suggest their clients to wear one or many gemstones. Gemstone industry is a big market & many spend a lot of money to purchase & wear it. Many times many even get cheated by purchasing artificial stones instead of real gemstones.

Many believe that gemstones have the power to change a person’s life. Many believe & state that the negative rays of a particular planet gets reflected by a gemstone or a gemstone attracts positive rays of a planet or converts negative rays of a planet into positive rays.

There are many people that practise Astrology, Palmistry, etc. genuinely & never ask their clients to wear any particular gemstone however many ask. Nowadays people trust or prefer to visit such Astrologers, Palmists or Psychic healers that suggest to wear some gemstones.

I’ve practised Astrology & Palmistry for around 8 years & with my experience I can state that gemstones don’t have any power to attract or reflect rays of a particular planet or convert bad rays of a particular planet into good rays.

However many people around the globe have found it beneficial & their life got changed after wearing it. It can be just due to coincidence. Psychologically when a person wears a gemstone she/he gets a positive feeling & feels confidence & due to the confidence she/he is able to take good decisions. You must’ve noticed that when one isn’t confident she/he takes many wrong decisions. Thus wearing it can motivate. Also when a person spends money to purchase it (as such gemstones are expensive) she/he constantly thinks about it & also gets a feeling of something positive must happen & thus she/he tries hard to achieve something or accomplish something. It’s just like a placebo effect of a drug.

Also different colours affect us differently, for example restaurants prefer to write their name in Red as seeing red can make a person feel hungry. Ruby red in colour when a person wears it, it can make a person have better digestion or make her/him eat more. Many wear white as it’s connected to simplicity or peace. Thus pearl white in colour when worn can bring about peace of mind or decrease anxiety or excitability. Some gemstones can also have negative effects like Red coral red in colour & red is connected to passion & aggressiveness can make a person very intensely passionate when not required or aggressive when even when situations can be handled or sorted out easily or politely. Thus various gemstones affect a person’s mind or bring different thoughts in a person’s mind differently due to their different colour.

However apart from placebo effect gemstones don’t have any miraculous powers to change a person’s destiny. I’ve read many Hindu sacred texts (Puranas, Gita, Shrimad Bhagvatam, Vedas, etc) nowhere I found appreciation of gemstone or it’s uses. No Purana has information about the benefits of wearing any gemstone or gemstone helping people to overcome adversaries or miseries or ward off future setbacks or trouble. In Ramayana Lord Rama wasn’t suggested to wear any particular gemstone by sage Agastya to slay Ravana & win Goddess Sita. Lord Krishna never suggested Pandavas to wear any particular gemstone when they were going through a tough time or to win the battle against the Kauravas. Nowhere it’s mentioned that Goddess Kathyayani wore any particular gemstone to kill Mahisasura.

Thus in my personal humble opinion one mustn’t spend her/his hard earned money to purchase such gemstones. She/he must boost her/his mind by following a good lifestyle by doing Yoga, Pranayama, exercises daily, eat healthy food & stay away from negative thoughts or elements. One must believe in karma & hard work & put forth all her/his efforts to achieve something with hard & smart work rather than getting carried away by the thought of gemstones to do miracles.

Advantages & disadvantages of rough tiles on bathroom floor

Bathroom is generally slippery thus to prevent slipping it’s indeed a good idea to use rough tiles instead of smooth ones however a disadvantage is that water doesn’t flow through it smoothly & many times it looks annoying as dirt too remains accumulated & have to use a lot of water to get rid of the dirt.

Why Ravana never got close to Goddess Sita

Many people respect Ravana’s dignity & believe that due to his dignity he never got close to Goddess Sita & expected Goddess Sita to eventually fall in love with him. Many have even made messages & have circulated it amongst millions of people.

Today on Maharishi Valmiki’s Jayanti the author of Ramayana I’m sharing some facts that will help understand what made Ravana stay away from Goddess Sita.

Goddess Sita was daughter of Goddess Earth. Had Ravana ever got close to Goddess Sita then Goddess Earth would have destroyed his Lankan empire by causing an earthquake. Ravana knew this thus he never got close to Goddess Sita.

Goddess Sita herself could have called for help from her mother Goddess Earth however she preferred to remain patient as she wanted the world to know that her husband Lord Rama is a great warrior.

Lord Rama wasn’t allowed to become the emperor of Ayodhya by his step mother Kaikeiy. His step mother wanted Lord Rama to spend 14 years in exhile so that her son Bharat that was younger to Lord Rama could become the emperor in Lord Rama’s absence.

To prove that Lord Rama deserved to be an emperor as he was the most powerful warrior then Goddess Sita patiently waited for Lord Rama to rescue her.

Why people eat bananas after meals / Salt (Sodium) & sensibility

Salt chemically is NaCl i.e. 1 Atom of Sodium (Na) & 1 Atom of Chlorine (Cl). Table salt constitutes of Sodium, Chlorine & Iodine. Iodine is mixed in table salt in a very small quantity as mostly all humans mix table salt in their food so all humans can easily get iodine for the proper functioning of their thyroid gland.

Table salt approximately constitutes of 40 to 45 % sodium. Sodium is required by body for the proper functioning nerves & for nerves to properly send signals. When nerves properly send signals then muscles function properly. Sodium attracts water thus it also helps in regulating body fluids. When the level of water is less in body sodium helps to retain it & prevents dehydration or if sodium levels are high then body retains water to dilute the excess sodium.  If sodium levels increases & this keeps happening daily for a long period then its consequences are severe.

It’s the function of kidneys to excrete the excess sodium from body by producing more urine. Sodium also promotes excretion of calcium a vital mineral for the bones & excess of calcium excretion can cause bones to become brittle & there are also chances of kidney stones due to calcium.

When the quantity of sodium is too high then it becomes difficult for kidneys to excrete it & as I mentioned above sodium attracts water & due to the excess sodium in body fluid retention can happen. Due to fluid retention heart has to put more efforts to circulate the blood throughout the body & this increases strain on arteries. If this continues to happen for a long time then the arteries become less elastic.

As per WHO’s guidelines an adult shouldn’t consume more than 2000 mg of Sodium per day. 2000 mg sodium is approximately 5 grams of salt.

Mostly people don’t use salt for the proper functioning of the body & even don’t know the side effects of excess sodium in body. They just use it for enhancing the taste of food. Food served in restaurants & eateries generally contains more salt than normal to make the food tastier. Most of the people that cook food in restaurants & those that eat it aren’t aware of the side effects of excess sodium. The just enjoy their food & keep visiting those restaurants or eateries as they relish it. Many people eat many dishes at once when they visit restaurants. Many dishes means taking much salt as all dishes have some salt.

Some restaurants know the side effects of excess sodium hence they generally use less salt in food & serve salt in a small container for those that want to relish their food with extra salt. However this habit isn’t also good. Salt is hydrophyllic so it draws moisture of the food ingredients & thus the taste & aromas of different ingredients get mixed together when salt is cooked with them. Adding salt once the food is cooked only gives psychological satisfaction however doesn’t enhance the taste of food.

Some salt companies produce low sodium salts & those that are fond of eating salt too much should go for it.

Potassium is also a vital element like sodium; however unlike Sodium Potassium doesn’t cause water retention. Both are electrolytes. If 1 knows that she/he has taken sodium in excess then it will make sense for her/him to add some potassium to her/his stomach as body has an ability to release excess sodium it held if the potassium levels rise. Bananas are rich source of potassium that’s why there has been a trend amongst some people of eating bananas after meals.
