Log in to Gmail.
On the extreme right you’ll see settings symbol, click it.
Then click “settings” again.
Then on the right you’ll see “Labs” in blue, click it.
Scroll down you’ll see an option of “Green robot”, enable it & then click save changes an option you’ll see at the bottom.
With this on the chat system if you’ll see a green or orange robot it infers that the person is logged into Gmail using an Android phone.
If you’ll see a green or orange circle it infers that the person is logged it using a computer or a laptop.
If you’ll see something that looks like a video camera then the logged in person’s laptop or computer has a webcam.
