I met Rexx on 11th March 2011 it for my Interview & Group
Discussion for Masters in Counselling course in TISS. There were many aspirants I don’t remember the exact number but maybe
more than 20. Many were from North East India. Although Rexx hails from North
East India he interacted more with me than his North Eastern counterparts.
We had a group discussion before
the Interview. I found it extremely strange as in the group discussion Rexx’s
& my view points matched a lot.
After the group discussion we had
our respective interviews. Rexx’s interview number was after mine. I gave my
interview & preferred to wait patiently till his interview got over rather
than returning home. After his interview we discussed our experience. We both
were somewhat exhausted & nervous as we both hadn’t done well in our
respective interviews & didn’t have any hopes of studying in TISS. Luckily
we exchanged our phone numbers before leaving TISS campus.
The results came out &
luckily we both got the required marks to study Masters in Counselling in TISS.
I asked him to do the admission formalities. He wasn’t that keen to join as he
was scared of not clearing his Bachelors Degree. I gave him hopes & pushed
him to join. Eventually he joined & we both took admission together on the
same day.
Most of my class mates were
females & as Rexx & I knew each other prior to joining TISS we
preferred to be sit together most of the time rather than spending time with
others. Unluckily we both were in different FC class. Although most of our
thoughts matched tremendously he preferred to do his specialisation on working
with children’s issues & problems & I chose to do my specialisation on
working with adult’s issues & problems so our classes got separated but
whenever we met we had a great time.
I’ll always remember the treats
that he gave me in Dominos & other restaurants for no reasons. I’ll also
remember the electronic items he gave me for free.
Although we belong to different
religion & states our friendship bond was so strong. We had similar
thoughts & views throughout our 2 years time. One of the common thing I
found strange was that we both didn’t have any liking for a particular type of
food.
Although we had many similarities
there were some differences as well like Rexx being very good at drawing &
playing computer & playstation games whereas I being poor at drawing &
not at all found of computer & playstation games.
He leaves Mumbai today to go to Manipur.
I wish he gets whatever is right for him & I also wish that wherever his
life takes him he gets immeasurable happiness, fame, glory, joy, peace,
prosperity, success, good health & all the good luck possible to have by
any1, & countless reasons to smile.
