Cleaning mind means eradicating negative feelings & thoughts from mind. Just like we clean our body by taking bath to feel clean & fresh, house floor by water so that it remains dirt or germs free, vehicle by water so that it looks clean similarly it’s important to clean mind for its proper functioning.
If mind isn’t clean then one may get angry, agitated or furious easily. One may get irritated on situations which aren’t important & which can be ignored. One may remain stressed, tensed; it also affects concentration & confidence level.
Cleaning mind can help to overcome the above issues.
One can clean his/her mind by doing a lot of activities. I don’t know all the activities but I’ve shared some activities which cleans mind.
One of the activity is Meditation. Meditation relaxes our brains, brain vessels, neurons, etc. A relaxed mind can concentrate well, won’t get angry, agitated or furious easily, won’t get irritated on situations which aren’t importance, will be able to understand what thoughts to ignore & will be able to handle stress & tension.
Another activity is Pranayam. Doing Pranayam regularly enhances blood circulation to brain which enhances its performance. Thus it increases concentration, decreases tension & helps to deal well in provoking situations.
Yog techniques like doing brain centred asans are beneficial for mind.
Deep breathing techniques relaxes mind.
Other technique is Bhakti there are 9 types of Bhakti as said to Hiranyakashyap by Prahlaad.
I've mentioned 3 below: -
Shravan Bhakti: - It means listening to spiritual talks or listening to God’s discourses.
Keertan Bhakti: - It means chanting Bhajans, reciting Aartis, Chalisas, Mantras, Shlokas, etc.
Smaran Bhakti: - It means reminiscing or thinking or about God.
Adequate sleep is also essential for smooth functioning of mind.
